Where do the bands on the neck come from?
The platysma runs like a thin sheet from the jaw down over the neck. Over the years this pull grows stronger. Vertical bands then stand out when you tense your neck, and the jawline loses definition.
What happens at the appointment?
First I ask you to tense your neck firmly, and I look at the bands and your jawline. We talk about what you would like, and I explain everything to you in person. If everything is right for you, I treat you straight away in the same appointment, with a fine needle along the jawline and on the neck. It only takes a few minutes.
When does it take effect, and how long does it last?
After a few days you notice that the bands on your neck tense less strongly. After 14 days the effect is complete. The effect usually lasts three to six months.

Is this surgery?
No. There is no incision. The treatment is done with a fine needle.
Can I go straight back to work?
Yes, you can go straight back to work afterwards. The tiny needle marks are usually barely visible after just a few minutes. That is why an appointment before work or during your lunch break works well too.
What should I keep in mind after the treatment?
In the first 4 hours after treatment, please do not lie down. On the day of treatment, no make-up and no alcohol, and do not touch, rub or massage the injection sites.
