Many people come to me because the tip of their nose drops when they smile, and the nose then looks longer. With botulinum toxin I relax the small muscle under the nose, between the nostrils, that pulls the tip down. The aim is for the nose tip to drop less when you smile.

Why does the nose tip drop?
A small muscle between the nostrils pulls the nose tip down when you speak and smile. How strongly it pulls differs from one person to the next, and people often only notice it in photos.
What happens at the appointment?
First I ask you to smile, and I look at your nose from the side. We talk about what you would like, and I explain everything to you in person. If everything is right for you, I treat you straight away in the same appointment, with a very fine needle. It only takes a few minutes.
When does it take effect, and how long does it last?
After a few days you notice that the muscle pulls the nose tip down less when you smile. After 14 days the effect is complete. The effect usually lasts three to six months.

Does this replace a nose job?
No. The treatment only works on one small muscle. The shape, cartilage and any bump of the nose stay as they are.
Will I still look natural?
It is a small change when you smile. We decide together how strongly to treat, because this can be adjusted through the dose.
Can I go straight back to work?
Yes, you can go straight back to work afterwards. The tiny needle marks are usually barely visible after just a few minutes. That is why an appointment before work or during your lunch break works well too.
What should I keep in mind after the treatment?
In the first 4 hours after treatment, please do not lie down. On the day of treatment, no make-up and no alcohol, and do not touch, rub or massage the injection sites.
